I like the look - medium brown to honey wood floor with lots of wood grain, plain white cabinets, maybe a few glass doors and a very dark counter top. The backsplash may be an area to bring in some color/artwork? We will be using recessed "can" lights in the kitchen, as they have here. 2 or 3 pendent type fixtures are an option over the bar. Have you thought about appliance color - black, white or stainless?
