This pantry idea is actually a cabinet. The space we have to work with is 7 ft long but only 12 inches deep. You may want to see if Ikea can provide something like this. I'm sure its possible but the cost may be a limiting factor.
We will need a light fixture over the dining table. Isn't a chandelier a bit out of character with the minimalist style you're trying to achieve? Another approach could be a recessed high intensity quartz spot light that shines down on a glass sculpture setting on the table. They use this technique in art galleries and store displays and it is very effectively. I like how hidden accent lighting can be used to create dramatic effects. A cool effect at a moderate price. Your thoughts?
I like the space that the open pantry or frosted glass doors give the look of the kitchen. Also the second has another beautiful chandelier!
